Description

CFSD works on urban environmental issues with a focus on solid waste management, clean air, waste segregation, composting and community awareness. The organisation works with communities, schools, resident groups, government institutions and other organisations to encourage practical and sustainable environmental practices.

CFSD also works on air pollution through community awareness, research and participation in the National Clean Air Programme. Its initiatives include studying air pollution, promoting cleaner practices, creating awareness about the health impacts of pollution and supporting community participation in environmental action.

Promoting waste segregation, responsible waste disposal and better integration of waste pickers into the waste management system.

Creating awareness about air pollution and its impact on community health while supporting local clean-air initiatives.

Promoting home composting, leaf composting and other practical approaches to reduce waste and improve environmental sustainability.

Solid Waste Management

CFSD works with communities and local stakeholders to promote better solid waste management practices. Awareness activities focus on waste segregation, responsible waste disposal and reducing environmental pollution.

National Clean Air Programme

Under the National Clean Air Programme, CFSD works on air pollution awareness and community engagement in Nagpur. Activities include awareness programmes on dust pollution, garbage burning, vehicle idling and the health impacts of air pollution.

Leaf Composting

It's in schools and community spaces to encourage the proper management of fallen leaves.The initiative helps communities understand how organic waste can be managed locally through composting instead of being discarded or burned.
